Why Patients Love Botox and Dysport
-
Quick treatment: most appointments take about 15 to 30 minutes.
-
Smoother skin: reduces the look of visible fine lines and wrinkles.
-
Natural results: you look refreshed, never overdone.
-
Minimal downtime: most patients return to their day right away.
What Are Botox and Dysport?
Botox and Dysport are neuromodulators, which are injectable treatments that temporarily relax the small facial muscles that cause expression lines. When those muscles relax, the skin over them looks smoother. Both products work in a similar way, and your provider will help you choose the one that best fits your goals.
Areas We Treat
Botox and Dysport are most often used for "dynamic" wrinkles, the lines that form when you make facial expressions:
-
Forehead lines: the horizontal lines that appear when you raise your eyebrows.
-
Crow's feet: the fine lines at the outer corners of the eyes.
-
Frown lines: the vertical "11" lines between the eyebrows.
-
Wrinkle prevention: some patients choose treatment early to help soften lines before they deepen.
If you are looking to restore lost volume in the lips, cheeks, or smile lines, a filler such as Juvederm may be a better fit, and some patients combine both treatments.
What to Expect at Your Appointment
Your visit starts with a consultation. We talk about the lines that bother you, review your medical history and any medications, and explain what results you can realistically expect. Then your provider places a small number of precise injections in the treatment area. Most patients describe the feeling as a quick pinch, and the whole visit is usually short enough to fit into a lunch break.
Results and Aftercare
Results appear gradually over the days after treatment, and because the effect is temporary, most patients schedule repeat visits to maintain their results. Your provider will give you aftercare instructions at your visit. Results vary from person to person, which is why we start every treatment with a personal consultation.
Who Should Wait
For the safety of you and your baby, we do not offer Botox, Dysport, or fillers during pregnancy or breastfeeding. We recommend focusing on your regular OB-GYN care during that time and considering these treatments afterward.
